This is the brief story behind Empirico, from the starting problems to the end solution.
Problems
Talking with some investors, advisors, and wealth managers we found that they were struggling to put the systematic strategies they had in mind under test, and then apply them.
Much of this struggle was due to:
- The lack of easily accessible data
- The need to use several tool to get a sound result
- The intrinsic limitations of widely used tools (MS Excel…)
- The time needed to put a systematic strategy into test
- The computational power needed to simulate real market scenarios
